after gp before chem
oh my goodness i can't believe i just watched shutter again. it's the fourth time im watching it. and im still not immune to it! even when i know when exactly something scary will pop out and from which corner of the television it will appear, i'll still find these horror scenes shocking. i want to be as brave as my maid!
brazil vs ghana at 3am! how to watch how to watch?!!
and how can i forget! i finally found someone who supports brazil's ronaldo too! yay zeying's another one who's got good taste!
i can't believe i almost dozed off during the gp papers. i mustn't be sleepy for chem tomorrow! all the more i can't allow myself to entertain the thought of staying up to 5am. really will die. okay it's time to continue with my last minute cramming. chem rocks! and this time i will definitely not fall asleep, thanks to shutter!

found this poem when i was reading through poems deep and dangerous. the book brought back so many memories of nanyang!
im tired of slacking cum mugging. slacking makes me guilty, mugging is miserable. don't want to regret not trying my best, yet it's just so hard to get down to really putting in my best effort. shall just keep in mind that it's just blocks! no kick! heheh :) everyone jia you!
im glad im not the earth. imagine spinning around the sun forever! phew, at least there's an end to studying.

disappointing
i stayed up to 3am last night just to watch brazil's match!
it was simply.. an incredible achievement for me! thank goodness for solitaire showdown and the spurts of adrenaline rush that o2jam gave me, otherwise i would really have missed ronaldo in action!
but the match was disappointing. didn't expect the croatians to be that good, and ronaldo was seriously missing in action. i was such an ardent fan of his, starting from the last world cup! yet yesterday he wasn't even seen running, not to mention that he kept losing the ball. and people keep attributing the cause of his lackluster performance to his weight! even the brazilian president posted him a fat question. i was really looking forward to his confident strikes and goals, and his smile and funny finger action whenever he scores! too bad he only got close to making one off-target shot, and got substituted in the second half of the match.
champions can never be champions forever. standards are hard to maintain. this kind of reminds me of our dream-like cjc competition, which preceded the horrible scba nationals.
nevertheless, im still going to catch all the brazil matches! at least their match against croatia was exciting, and kaka the shuai ge scored! oh and i feel really sad for my sis, for losing both her bets on brazil. why didn't they win by at least 2 goals. those irritating checkered shirts.
haha! something funny from the scv scope on croatia: when croatians are not distracting their opponents with their play, they dazzle them with their team jersey. it is a shirt of red and white checkers, which, when shining in the sun, can have quite a mesmerizing effect.
anyway, i also learnt a lesson. never ever attempt to study bio notes the day after staying up to watch world cup! i woke up at around 10am (not bad right, so early!) today, but tried reading through the respiration notes in the afternoon, and that brought me away to dreamland instantly! ended up spending quite a few hours slacking around in dreamland.
dajie's going off to bangkok tomorrow, erjie's leaving for germany to watch world cup soon. all of a sudden my holidays seem so empty.

another week of bridge
another week spent bridging! (and eating! hahaha)
don't know what to type, so shall just post pictures!
chess and bridge jts at seoul garden!
hrmm, got 6th for junior student pairs yesterday. mixed feelings - happy because we really thought we had so many bottom boards that we would end up as one of the last pairs, but sad because we didn't improve from last year! (last year we were third!) lost another chance to win a trophy again.
no more bridge competitions until 24th of june. two more weeks of holidays and tons of stuff to do! i have to finish packing my stuff, train up my o2jam character, revamp bidding system with yiwen, watch world cup, slack around, and most importantly.. mug! cannot and must not die for blocks!

glhf
it's raining..
can't believe we really missed getting third for scba nationals by just that 4 vps. :( quite sad that we lost to rjc1 and innova, when it shouldn't be so. not at all.
it's okay, it's alright! glhf fight fight fight! there's nothing to be sad about anyway. because our other team got 1st! so at least there's something to be happy about! and we just got our fabulous sakura treat for dinner yesterday! besides, there's still nuss intercollege teams coming up! tough competition, but we'll do it!
good luck to us, and we'll have fun :)

lowly dory chieh
went to school for psychometric assessment exercise today! was really sleepy and blur in the morning, so can only recall one thing about it - i was totally frozen while doing the test! grrr, and i bet the aircon was on full blast! now im really certain ice is much more powerful than fire.
anyway, met up with lowly and dory for lunch at pastamania! finally finally! they're still as spastic as ever. haha! and lowly was self-entertaining as usual, talking and laughing to herself, pretending that both of us were listening to her, when we obviously weren't interested at all. =P and dory, even worse, was totally engrossed in compressing the cheese bits in the bottle, to the extent that everything was compressed and hardened into one block! i can't believe i actually have such friends. but oh well, what to do, these are exactly the reasons why i love them so much too.
met lowly's risky rizki and went to dory's house to play mahjong! fun fun, though i bet lowly totally hated the game because she didn't win at all! so much for beginner's luck! then we went on to play one round of daidee. and here's why we only played one round:
so it was my turn and i happily dumped my straight flush. then lowly (who's left with only ONE card) dumped her last card triumphantly!
all of us: -stunned- then we burst out laughing! especially when we saw what her last card was.
to think it's not bad enough that she threw ONE card after my five-carder.. guess what her last card was?

-faints- now it should be quite clear why we stopped playing that game after lowly's dramatic "win".
im really happy today :) happy to meet up with these two great great friends of mine! even happier meeting lowly's dangerous rizki! and knowing that chicken and fish are happy, that made me happiest :D
