i think im very boliao. was very bored, so dug out this game from an old email. but this flash game is seriously quite entertaining! go get yourself cross-eyed if you're bored. sometimes life passes by so quickly that we lose sight of the little things we really want..

mrt match!
shall blog about the super fun and exciting mrt match pam chuanyuan guangfeng and i went for yesterday! :D
dover chinese gardens bukit batok woodlands admiralty sembawang tiong bahru raffles place paya lebar changi airport
haha! the four of us travelled around singapore on bus, mrt, taxi and our sprinting footsteps within those three and a half hours! definitely the most exciting race i've ever joined in my entire life! imagine chuan yuan with his super anxious and serious face (he woke up at 4am in the morning to mug all the mrt lines, landmarks.. x_x) and guangfeng with his "we must win! we must win! we must win the 600 bucks!".. in the end pam and i got infected with their winning obsession and just went all out to reach these 10 stations in the shortest time possible. all out! including spending 10 dollars per person to take cab =P
we ran IN the mrt, ran past the weird looks people shot at us, then quickly jumped out of the right cabin when the doors slid open, posed at the woodlands statue, chuan yuan took the photo, and ZOOM! we rushed back into the train before the doors closed on us! phew! haha at bukit batok it was even worse. 3 hwachong groups squeezing at the same door, with the same plan in mind.. and that totally stunned an innocent passer-by standing at the mrt platform! lol, poor thing!
though we got 4th in the end (disappointing - far from our expectations of getting the 600 bucks), it was still a really nice experience! watching guangfeng run, cursing that other groups will get disqualified oops, meeting a really nice taxi uncle who helped us overtake the other group, us getting all worried that we can't win, and telling each other not to give up hope! (lol, that sounds so drama) and besides that, we managed to win a cool kiddy umbrella :) happy happy. pam, chuanyuan, guangfeng, yay! :D
today on my way back from school, i met this really cute baby girl in the bus! she's so adorable! her maid was carrying her and they were sitting next to me. and the baby kept smiling at me, despite sucking her thumb at the same time.. then she called me "jie jie!" so sweet! if only i had a camera with me. but then they might just freak out, haha.

friday bridge game
wah, played bridge at scba from 7.30 till 11pm yesterday. was almost falling asleep while playing the last few boards - ended up discarding winners -.- haha but partnership with chengyen was not bad! first time we played together, plus i made so many mistakes (as usual). it was surprising that we managed to get cool results for yesterday's game! a nice pleasant surprise :)
maybe luck does matter in bridge after all. seems like i was really lucky yesterday. haha, sometimes opponents just make mistakes, sometimes you just do stupid things at the spur of the moment, sometimes the tournament director gets involved. perhaps good card play depends largely on skill, but personally i think i need luck to ensure that i don't make mistakes, and tons of good luck to meet unlucky opponents.

don't like playing bridge at night. because after that i just can't bring myself to sleep; no matter how tired i am, the brain just refuses to rest. can't imagine myself playing bridge 3 days in a row next week. -zombie-fied- :O
anw! this week has been rather slack and nice! playing snap, speed and bridge at class bench has been a good source of entertainment. watching delin and guang feng play bridge ar.. it's really a one-in-a-lifetime experience man. then you see chuan yuan almost about to vomit blood, huiwen with her crazy hysterical laughter, and kim with her cheeks to the brink of cramping.. can really die laughing!

i love this song! simplicity rocks. complexities (boo you, complex numbers!) bring in too many grey areas. but if feelings weren't complex, we'll all be either happy or sad robots, which is super lame. this is so contradictory. maybe if the human brain and heart weren't this complicated, i wouldn't even come to this conclusion. ok im not making sense hahaha.
